Cheyenne P.
I am a disabled Army veteran, and I am 28 years old. I have a brain disorder called Arnold Chiari Malformation and had decompression surgery in 2016. I have experienced very poor physical therapy appointments while in the military. I was very wary of giving this place a try, but I am so glad I did. I started off with visits for my Fibromyalgia and Skyler Harms is my physical therapist. I found out I needed hip surgery and went to Skyler after my surgery. I was in therapy for 11 months due to my brain malformation. It took me a little bit longer than the average patient to feel okay again. But I am so glad I listened to Skyler. He really helped me pace myself and not overdo it. Skyler is very patient but knows when to push me. Because of him I am hiking again and able to conquer most of my days. And now I know how much to push myself, so I am not in pain. Now Skyler is helping me with extreme neck pain from my brain surgery. We just started but I am confident that Skyler and everyone else at Joint Effort will have me feeling better in a few months. My health problems never fully go away due to the brain malformation. But I can definitely say Joint Effort has improved my quality of life and made me motivated to work out again after so many surgeries. I thank them all the time, but it really does mean the world to me that I can go somewhere where I feel safe and supported.
